I discovered audiobooks in 2008. At that time, I was commuting over two hours daily and frustrated with this dead time. With audiobooks, this time transformed into an opportunity to learn through nonfiction or escape into fictional worlds. I began to look forward to my commute, often lingering in my car after reaching my destination to finish a chapter.
While audiobooks started as a solution to my long commute, they quickly became much more. I came to see that, with the right narration and production, an audiobook doesn’t just tell a story—it enhances it, transforming a great book into an unforgettable experience.
